Volmar Hotel - Durres

The seaview was lovely, but the AC was pretty noisy and distracting.

Hotel was modern, we loved this place.

The room was clean in general, with a balcony. A mini-fridge-bar, climate control, and an electronic key card were all available. Its location an easy walk to Barbican House was unbeatable.

So, i was all set to have a splendid stay, but the bed was like sinking into quicksand while the air conditioning was screaming like a banshee. I also expected some sort of complimentary gesture for my inconvenience, but all i got was attitude from the staff, total letdown. Almost gave a good review, but just couldn't.

Not exactly what I expected

The location is superb, just steps from the beach, and the view from the restaurant is gorgeous. Breakfast options were good, and the staff went out of their way to assist us.

We faced noise issues with the air conditioning, making it difficult to relax, and the balconies were too small to enjoy the ocean vistas properly.

The fine sunset views from the south-west facing balcony are lovely. The beach access is a real treat, and the daily provision of clean beach towels makes lounging by the shore that much more enjoyable.

The air conditioning units are excessively noisy, which can be distracting at night and disrupt your sleep. Towels have no convenient hanging spaces, forcing you to pile them on the sink-definitely not ideal. If you're an early riser, forget about getting coffee before 7 AM. That's just not happening around here. Lastly, the balconies could use a better design as they are tiny.

My experience here was amazing! The breakfast spread was top-notch, offering a great variety, and the private beach with reserved beds was a real treat. Although a bit noisy at times, I'd definitely return!

This hotel offers comfortable double rooms with balconies, a great selection of breakfast items, and is conveniently located close to the sea.

I really loved our standard king room. Most of the staff were super friendly, and the hotel is located in a great spot-just a short walk from the sea and the beach. 🌊.

I had a great time during my 3-night stay at this hotel, where the staff was very attentive and the setting was just perfect, plus it was conveniently close to the sea.
